Cooking adventures

OK, so I’ve cooked now for two days (see my former post) and I have to say tonight’s recipe was a pain in my ass. Maybe it’s because I don’t believe in non-stick pans (I use stainless) or maybe it’s because I had the pan on the stove for too long, but my second batch of breasts got totally scorched on the outside, all the firggin cheese stuck to the pan, the smoke alarm went off and nobody wanted to come in to the kitchen for hours afterward. Pretty messy, too. I dumped the parmesan all over the floor at one point and the splatter from the grease was unreal and I even used a spit guard.

I won’t be making this one again. It was pretty tasty (G dug it) but the one that hit the burn point was a little smoky tasting… I’m sure the house is going to stink for a few days.

On the lighter side of things, I put everything in the crock pot for our beef stew and got it ready to go for an all day simmer while I sleep tomorrow. Hopefully it turns out well and hopefully our bread from Whole Foods isn’t crusty and gross by then.
